Before and after-school care

Before and after-school care

After-school care for nursery and primary school children is offered by the Parents’ Association (APE EELM), which has chosen the Marcq en Baroeul Social and Cultural Centre to provide the services. When families join the APE, they have the option of enrolling their children in extra-curricular activities organised at school by staff from the Centre Social et Culturel de Marcq en Baroeul.

After-school services are provided on the school premises. The Social and Cultural Centre also offers leisure activities on Wednesday afternoons at the school.

In the morning, children are looked after from 7.30 am (staggered arrival) until they are collected by the teachers.

In the evening, pupils are looked after from the end of lessons until 6.30pm, they are offered a snack.

Services must be booked in advance, and invoicing is specific to the service chosen.

For more information, visit the Marcq en Baroeul Social and Cultural Centre page.

School lunch for students from S1 to S4

School lunch:

Secondary school lunch is provided in the Lycée Kernanec canteen. Pupils receive a canteen card when they enter our school. This card will be the same for the whole of the pupil’s schooling from S1 to S4, so it is important to keep it from one year to the next.

Method of payment :

Payment is by lump sum. Families will receive one invoice per term, payable to the European School.

In the event of loss of card :

If you lose your card, please inform the “school life office””vie scolaire” as soon as possible and make sure that your child is in possession of the payment corresponding to the new card, i.e. 7 euros by cheque made payable to “l’agent comptable du lycée Kernanec” or in cash.

School lunch for students from S5 to S7

School lunch:

Secondary school catering is provided in the Lycée Kernanec canteen. Pupils must request a “Génération HDF” card on the website: https://generation.hautsdefrance.fr/. This card will be used when visiting the canteen. They must reserve their meal in advance on the TURBOSELF application.

Method of payment:

Pupils eat as they are served. The meal is only charged if it is actually taken.

To recharge the canteen card directly from the application and reserve the meal (compulsory to be able to have lunch), you must then create an account on the “TURBOSELF” application by following the link https://espacenumerique.turbo-self.com/Connexion.aspx?id=383.

In the event of loss of card :

If you lose your card, you must declare the loss in your Génération HDF account.

Social assistance

Social assistance

The school social fund (FS)

The social fund is a budget envelope that can be used to pay school fees quickly for parents experiencing financial difficulties.

This fund is designed to help school families deal quickly with the difficulties they may encounter in meeting the costs of schooling and school life. This assistance can take the form of vouchers for food, clothing or school supplies. It can also cover transport costs, school outings or trips, and the purchase of textbooks.

The canteen social fund (FSC)

This fund is designed to enable secondary school pupils (S1 to S4) to attend their school canteen. The aid granted covers part or all of the canteen costs.

Families wishing to receive assistance from the social funds must apply for a file. For further information, please contact the bursar’s office.

Coming to the school

By public transport

Marcq-en-Baroeul is part of the Lille European Metropolis (MEL). The public transport network makes it easy to get around. The school is located next to the Charcot bus stop (Corolle 10) and close to the Buisson and Brossolette tramway stations.

You can find all the information you need on the Ilevia website.

The MEL allows children under 18 to use the Ilevia network free of charge. It is advisable to ask for this transport card to be created, even if your child does not use public transport, as it will help us to manage transport for school outings.

By bike

The town of Marcq-en-Baroeul has many cycle paths, and the school is strongly committed to promoting soft mobility. The school has a cycle park for primary and nursery pupils on the school forecourt, and a cycle garage for secondary pupils on the right-hand side of the building. There is also a dedicated car park for teachers.

By car

The school has a drop-off point where parents can drop off their children safely.
